Hi all, the Corrector here.
We are taking a survey amoung our fellow Interac/Maxceed employees (this survey is not limited to Union Members). Here is the question:
Do you have Nenkyu (paid, flexible holidays?)
Employers (this means you Interac) are required by law to give you paid holidays based on the amount of hours that you work, and how long you have been with the company. The funny thing is, that doesn’t seem to happen in Osaka. In Tokyo, and other parts of the country (Tokyo, Nagoya, Hiroshima etc.), people that work for Interac and “Maxceed” get paid holidays, and they have Nenkyu (which can be used for sick days).
Ask yourselves this, why DON’T we Osaka members get sick days? Why should we be punished for being sick, especially when the law says otherwise?

with an answer to our question:
Do you have Nenkyu (paid, flexible holidays?)
Yes or no, please give us as much information as possible about your working conditions:
How many hours a week do you work?
How many schools do you teach?
Are you paid for national holidays?
Look at your contract and tell us if it says that you are expected to be there from 8:30 to 16:30 (or any other scheduled time).
Tell us anything else that you think may be pertinent.
If you don’t have time to email us, click on our survey in the sidebar on the right, and email us when you have time.
Your input can determine the next actions by the Interac Branch of the General Union (GUIB). It is time to fight for our rights under the law.
