First Issues

Unemployment Insurance
This is a fundamental workers' right guaranteed by law and with the current economic climate it is essential. It appears that teachers at Interac are receiving it but why isn't everyone else? We have begun initial approaches to the Board of Education over this and hope to have an update in the coming month or so.

Unemployment Insurance
Many of you have expressed a desire to be enrolled on shakai hoken. This is more important than ever. As of April 2010 visa renewal will be contingent upon being enrolled in the correct insurance. Private insurances being sold in Japan are not sufficient. As full-time employees you should be enrolled in shakai hoken (Employee’s Health & Pension).
